Regular maintenance of motor:

In this way, some faults can be removed in time to avoid faults and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the motor. The time interval of regular maintenance can be determined according to the use environment of the motor.

The contents of regular maintenance are as follows.

1. Clean the 8-inch electric motor. Timely remove the dust and oil sludge outside the motor base. If there is much dust in the use environment, it needs to be cleaned once a day.

2. Check and clean the motor terminals. Check whether the connection screws of the junction box are loose or burned.

3. Check the screws of each fixed part of the 10 inch electric motor, including anchor screws, end cap screws, bearing cap screws, etc. Tighten the loose nuts.

4. Check the electric motor drive device, pulley or coupling for boldness, damage and firm installation; Whether the belt and its coupler are in good condition.

5. The starting equipment of the motor should also be cleaned of the external dust and the contacts in time. Check whether there are burn marks on the wiring parts and whether the grounding wire is in good condition.

6. Inspection and maintenance of bearings. The bearing should be cleaned and replaced with lubricating grease or oil after being used for a period of time. The time for cleaning and oil change shall depend on the working condition, working environment, cleanliness and lubricant type of the motor. For half of the motors, they shall be cleaned once every 3-6 months and the lubricating grease shall be replaced. When the oil temperature is high, or the environmental conditions are poor, the motor with more dust should be cleaned and replaced frequently.

7. Inspection of insulation. The insulation capacity of insulating materials varies with the degree of dryness, so it is important to check the dryness of motor windings. The electrical insulation will be damaged due to the presence of factors such as humid working environment and corrosive gas in the working room. The common fault is winding grounding fault, that is, insulation damage, which makes the live part collide with the non live metal parts such as the casing. This fault not only affects the normal operation of the motor, but also endangers personal safety. Therefore, during the use of the motor, the insulation resistance shall be checked frequently, and it is also important to check whether the motor casing is reliably grounded.

8. In addition to the regular maintenance of the motor according to the above items, the motor shall be overhauled once a year after operation. The purpose of overhaul is to conduct a thorough and comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the motor, supplement the missing and worn components of the motor, remove the dust and dirt inside and outside the motor, check the insulation, clean the bearing and check its wear. Timely handle problems found.
